This park is lovely, but big rigs should beware! The avenues between sites are very narrow and it's impossible to swing wide enough to get a long RV into their pull-thrus easily. In addition, the sites are also narrow with large, low hanging tree limbs. Every other KOA we've visited has provided an escort to the site, Boone did not. Sadly, we really needed that escort as we ended up scraping big holes in our six month old 5th wheel's roof while trying to pull in, then broke the back window of our 2 month old Ford F250 Lariat while trying to back out so as not to rip the a/c units off of our RV. When we went to the office to report the problem and request a site we could actually fit in, they told us they "couldn't know the limbs were too low unless a camper told them!" They did move us to another site, but that doesn't change the $10,000 worth of damage done to our property! Some of the other campers expressed similar problems with parking and management...one lady was told "they didn't have time to escort guests to sites" and when she suggested they should warn big rigs about the maneuvering issues, they said, "why would we want to shoot ourselves in the foot?" If they can't be bothered to worry about our property, you'd think they'd at least be concerned about someone taking out their trees and water/electric hook-ups when trying to park! Someone did finally park in the site we had problems with, but it took six other campers helping direct him, moving the picnic table off of the site and about twenty minutes of backing and re-positioning to get in the site...his roof cleared the tree limb that we hit by half and inch. Management was nowhere to be seen during this event. We left before they did, so no telling what happened when he tried to pull out!

This was our second stay at the Park. We traveled to California from Louisiana and stayed going out as well as the return trip. It's your typical desert style RV Park -- not many trees and lots of gravel, but well maintained. Management was very friendly. They have a cute little restaurant on site if you don't feel like cooking. There is also a hiking trail around the perimeter of the park if you want a little exercise, although there isn't much to see.
